1/28/2003 I think the pizza in Western NY is the greatest in the world - the competition is so great that unless it's really good, it won't be around for long.  Last Wednesday in the Buffalo News Janice Okun the News Food Editor, tested 5 of the local favorites on four of Buffalo News staff.  Bocce Club, Domino's, John's, Just Pizza and La Nova were the chosen contenders . Results: Tied for first - La Nova and Bocce Club, 2nd - John's, 3rd-Just Pizza and 4th-Domino's.
There are, of course, many many other great pizzas in Western NY that were not in the small sampling of contenders. Everyone has a local favorite. Write and let me know about your local favorite.
